About Me

My photo
In June 2011 I moved to Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa with the view of staying for one year. More than two years later and I have four beautiful Tanzanian foster children and there is no sign of me moving back to the UK. This blog was created as a way for family and friends to keep up to date on our life here and to see my little ones growing up, feel free to take a read and leave your comments. To find out about the work I am doing here visit www.tauf.org.uk (under construction).

Tarangire National Park

Whilst Krystina and Ollie were here we went on a one day safari, I was the guide, Adam was the driver and I am very sure Krystina and Ollie were content clients :-)

The Leopard, a rare sight!
We saw quite a few animals in quite a short time, including a leopard which is quite unusual.
A beautiful view

We saw many, many Elephants and at one point we were actually surrounded, some within touching distance, of more than 100 elephants, it was really quite incredible.

  1. Ahh, a beautiful place! I can't believe you guys saw a leopard! On my second safari I told the guide the only animal I really wanted to see was a leopard. We just missed one (the car in front of us saw it) and I was so disappointed. Guess I'll have to come back someday and try to spot one. The elephants, though, are always spectacular at Tarangire!
