About Me

My photo
In June 2011 I moved to Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa with the view of staying for one year. More than two years later and I have four beautiful Tanzanian foster children and there is no sign of me moving back to the UK. This blog was created as a way for family and friends to keep up to date on our life here and to see my little ones growing up, feel free to take a read and leave your comments. To find out about the work I am doing here visit www.tauf.org.uk (under construction).

Auntie Krystina and Uncle Ollie

Cake Mix
A Yummy Welcome Cake

In March Krystina and Ollie came to visit me for two weeks, for those of you who don’t know, Krystina and I have known each other for 21 years and have been through a lot together, we are more like sisters than friends so you can imagine how ecstatic I was that she wanted to visit me with Ollie. We had a wonderful couple of weeks, I really didn’t want them to end, we went to the snake park (blog to come) the hot springs, we went swimming and had lunches/ dinners out and generally just had a wonderful time. What made me the happiest was to see them and my children together, I was so pleased for Krystina and Ollie to meet and get to know the children and to play with them. Krystina and Ollie thank-you for taking this long journey to see my life, to see my children and to see me, I am so thankful you came and that you enjoyed your time with us. I am not going to get all soppy in my blog but I love you and miss you more than you can imagine.
