About Me

My photo
In June 2011 I moved to Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa with the view of staying for one year. More than two years later and I have four beautiful Tanzanian foster children and there is no sign of me moving back to the UK. This blog was created as a way for family and friends to keep up to date on our life here and to see my little ones growing up, feel free to take a read and leave your comments. To find out about the work I am doing here visit www.tauf.org.uk (under construction).

New Year!!

I celebrated New Year at home with my Dad and Mama Musa, I got the kids to bed early so we could enjoy the evening...
We three adults amused ourselves with a little bit of wine/cider and some games,

SKIPPING...

A ball game my Nan taught me...

and finally Pick up Sticks with the kebab sticks I had in the kitchen!!!

We laughed a lot and just had a really nice time, after midnight we introduced Mama Musa to Old Lang Syne and I was determined to stay up for English midnight but ended up falling asleep on the floor leaving Mama Musa on the sofa. At around 4am I woke up told Mama Musa she should go sleep in my bed then went back to sleep before the children woke me up super early!!

Sorry it is late but...

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE, I HOPE 2012 IS FULL OF HEALTH & HAPPINESS!!!
