About Me

My photo
In June 2011 I moved to Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa with the view of staying for one year. More than two years later and I have four beautiful Tanzanian foster children and there is no sign of me moving back to the UK. This blog was created as a way for family and friends to keep up to date on our life here and to see my little ones growing up, feel free to take a read and leave your comments. To find out about the work I am doing here visit www.tauf.org.uk (under construction).

I'm back...!!

It has been almost a year since I last posted...I can't believe it, so much has happened in that year I can not even begin to explain, so, I am going to start afresh, from today!

The children are all doing really well and keeping me super busy, as you would expect four children too!!

Alfie is top of his class at school, he is doing amazingly well and even has his first 'girlfriend' who Mama totally approves of ;) He is an energetic boy who, considering everything he has been through, I am so proud of him.

Layla is also doing well at school, she enjoys it but isn't quite as academic as Alfie, she takes after her Mama in that area! She is quite a little Mama herself, always wanting to help and trying to Mother her brothers and sister.

Isabella is also attending school which she loves, she has developmental delay though and so is really struggling academically, however, she has always been one to do things in her own time and I believe she will get as far as she can when she is ready. Socially she is doing really well and she is healthy and happy which is the main thing.

My, not so little, Jack, has just turned three and is such a comedian. He attended school for a short while but, turns out he wasn't ready and really didn't enjoy it, he is a Mama's boy so much prefers being home with me.

I will try to upload regularly, I know I am terrible at that, but, right now I am a stay at home Mum so I have time on my hands!
