About Me

My photo
In June 2011 I moved to Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa with the view of staying for one year. More than two years later and I have four beautiful Tanzanian foster children and there is no sign of me moving back to the UK. This blog was created as a way for family and friends to keep up to date on our life here and to see my little ones growing up, feel free to take a read and leave your comments. To find out about the work I am doing here visit www.tauf.org.uk (under construction).

Peter Paul

On March 22nd 2013 we received a call from the hospital about an abandoned toddler, we went to pick him up and Peter joined Neema House. He came to us with a couple of health complaints and as little Franki had just been diagnosed from hospital and was very fragile I decided to take Peter upstairs for a little while to ensure he didn't pass on any nasties to Franki.

Peter is such a beautiful child who just settled into his ‘new life’ with ease, he was content, happy and just beautiful. We had a joyful five weeks with Peter before he moved downstairs to be with the others, after just one and half more weeks though he was happily reunited with his parents (if I had known he wouldn't have been with us much longer I would have kept him upstairs), it actually turns out he was not abandoned but stolen from his Mother, so I was very thankful they were able to locate him and he could go home.

Peter I wish you every happiness being back with your family and I hope you settle back home just as well as you settled into our family. We love you and we will miss you but I can’t be more thrilled that you got your happy ending back with your family.

  1. What an absolutely beautiful boy! Such a sad thing for him to be stolen from his mother, but so glad that his family found him and he is now back with them for good.
