About Me

My photo
In June 2011 I moved to Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa with the view of staying for one year. More than two years later and I have four beautiful Tanzanian foster children and there is no sign of me moving back to the UK. This blog was created as a way for family and friends to keep up to date on our life here and to see my little ones growing up, feel free to take a read and leave your comments. To find out about the work I am doing here visit www.tauf.org.uk (under construction).

The Snake Park

Whilst Krystina and Ollie were here we took the children to the snake park, Helena also came with us, do you see a bit of a pattern, someone visits and we head to the snake park, well here in Tanzania there really isn’t much else for the kids to do and we always enjoy ourselves there.
This time though was a little different, it was feeding time whilst we were there, I have been there before for feeding time but I have never seen the huge pythons being fed live chickens, it was one of those moments where you really wanted to look away but you couldn’t help taking a peep, lets just say it was not nice and the children had many questions.
Also whilst we were there Bella and Alfie got to ride on a camel with Krystina and Ollie, Layla and Helena were to scared to climb on board!!
We really enjoyed our day at the park, the great thing is no matter how often we go the kids always love it!

  1. Looks like a lovely time! Can't believe that I never got there in all the time I was in TZ. Definitely will have to go back someday and make sure to take a day for the Snake Park.
