About Me

My photo
In June 2011 I moved to Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa with the view of staying for one year. More than two years later and I have four beautiful Tanzanian foster children and there is no sign of me moving back to the UK. This blog was created as a way for family and friends to keep up to date on our life here and to see my little ones growing up, feel free to take a read and leave your comments. To find out about the work I am doing here visit www.tauf.org.uk (under construction).

Mother of Six

Sometime back we had to rush 'My boys' Silvamus and Davis to the hospital, turned out they had pneumonia and bronchialitis. I spent one night in the hospital with Silvamus and a day with Davis but on our return to Neema House they were both very weak so I took the decision to bring them into my apartment for a little while where they were able to be a bit calmer and recover easier.

Well I thoroughly enjoyed having them but at the same time it was difficult, they are two very busy little boys, into everything, typical 18 month old boys. My children generally don't touch things that they are not supposed to so there has been no need to 'child proof' my house so the boys were able to get into everything.

By the end of it I was nakered and felt sure that being a mother of six all under four is NOT on my wish list...!! Having said that I did enjoy the chaos I just wouldn't want it to last any longer then it did.

Thank fully both boys are fully recovered

Their pyjamas were dirty, Bella didn't mind sharing
