In June 2011 I moved to Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa with the view of staying for one year. More than two years later and I have four beautiful Tanzanian foster children and there is no sign of me moving back to the UK. This blog was created as a way for family and friends to keep up to date on our life here and to see my little ones growing up, feel free to take a read and leave your comments. I am excited to announce the arrival of 'From Tanzania With Love-Kutoka Tanzania Yenye Upendo'. We are selling unique, handmade, African products to help support the vulnerable children in Tanzania.

From Tanzania With Love's first product is 'Cosy Cuddles' beautiful, double sided, patchwork duvet covers, made from the finest local material. The front is a patchwork design and the back is one design, 100% cotton.

By purchasing a Cosy Cuddles product you are supporting vulnerable babies, young children & families in Tanzania. All proceeds go to Claire Upshall who is the voluntary on-site director of Neema House Arusha, an orphanage in Tanzania. By supporting Claire you are supporting the children & families that she helps to support, you are also supporting Joyce, the local Tanzanian tailor & her family.
Our sizes are as follows, in cm:

• Baby/ Lap Blanket– 92x122cm –£20
• Cot Bed Duvet Cover– 120x150cm –£28
• Single Duvet Cover– 135x200cm –£35
• Double Duvet Cover– 200x200cm–£45
• Pillow Slip –50x75cm –£10 for one £15 for two

Products will be coming to the UK on January 1st 2013, space is limited, place your order now to avoid disappointment. You can pay via paypal or cheque either now or once the pieces arrive in the UK if you prefer.
Additional information-Unless stated otherwise we will make a mix and match of colours & styles, if you see a particular material you like just state the picture number on your order. If you would rather your baby blanket be left open one end please state that in your order.  If you have a colour scheme or pattern in mind we will try to match it as close as possible, just tell us anything & we will do our best, we can even include patches of a plain colour material if you wish there are endless possibilities.  Find us on Facebook at From

We post from the UK to anywhere, postage is not included in the price, ask today for a quote. If you can't wait until the New Year ask for a shipping quote from Tanzania, please note this will not be cheap!

    These are beautiful! I love Tanzanian material and have a whole lot of it that I brought home with me. I've been trying to find a quilt design that I like and have someone make it for me. Maybe if I drag my feet on that too long I'll just have to get one of these already-made ones!
