| Everything is preapred |
Today Selemani turned three :-)
The last two nights I spent preparing, I hardly slept a wink, cleaning the house, making a cake, preparing food, decorating the house with balloons and banners, BUT...I would do it again and again! Selemani had the most wonderful day today.
This morning he opened his presents, he got six books, two puzzles, dvds, colouring pencils and paper!! To be honest though he was more interested in ensuring the wrapping paper made it safely into the bin.
This morning we had a little party, eight children from the orphanage, three staff members and three volunteers, this meant Selemani was surrounded by eight two year old girls and seven ladies. The girls all looked so cute in their party dresses. We danced with our balloons and ate lots of yummy food, we then played pass the parcel and everyone got a sweetie. We had such a wonderful time, all the children were so well behaved and seemed to really enjoy themselves but most importantly Selemani had lots of fun too.
This morning I painted his face which he was mesmerized by and all the girls got a little bit of face paint too.
Today may have been his third birthday but technically it is his first, I doubt he has ever had a birthday cake or presents and cards. He certainly enjoyed it all and all the attention he got.
Selemani you are such a special little boy, mummy loves you so much. Happy birthday little man, there will be many more of these in the future too. I love you forever and always xxx

I was at Cradle in the afternoon and I saw all the girls dressed up. They each looked so cute and remnants of face paint were still adorning their eyes and cheeks. Love that you did this! We wanted to come put had an unexpected appointment in Moshi with the social worker. I forgot my phone at home and remembered that I had forgotten it as I was passing your house and thought... I should call "Claire". Ooops. I see you guys had lots of fun!!
