About Me

My photo
In June 2011 I moved to Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa with the view of staying for one year. More than two years later and I have four beautiful Tanzanian foster children and there is no sign of me moving back to the UK. This blog was created as a way for family and friends to keep up to date on our life here and to see my little ones growing up, feel free to take a read and leave your comments. To find out about the work I am doing here visit www.tauf.org.uk (under construction).

Tina Comes to Stay

Today I heard a noise coming from outside the gate, an animal crying. I went outside to investigate and found this little girl curled up by the wall, hungry, frightened and cold.

The children and I bathed her (pictures thanks to one of the children, Alfie or Layla, can't remember) and gave her some food, then we wrapped her up to let her rest.

At this point I am not sure if she will stay with us or if we will rehome her, we have the other 11 dogs as well don't forget! I just couldn't leave her there crying though, knowing that she will probably just end up dead on the streets.

So welcome to the family Tina, even though it will likely be a temporary welcome.

Hugs, Mama Watoto x
