About Me

My photo
In June 2011 I moved to Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa with the view of staying for one year. More than two years later and I have four beautiful Tanzanian foster children and there is no sign of me moving back to the UK. This blog was created as a way for family and friends to keep up to date on our life here and to see my little ones growing up, feel free to take a read and leave your comments. My New Ball of Fluff

So I decided to get a dog, my kids are scared of animals but I want them to grow up with a love of them like I did so I decided a small dog would be a good friend for them, not only a friend for them but someone to keep me company in the evenings, someone to get us out and about on walks every day and possibly if I got him a friend we might do a little bit of breeding for a little bit of money.
I first decided I wanted a Chihuahua, why? because ever since my friend got a Chihuahua cross pug I have grown to like the breed, however, I then heard about some Pomeranians for sale in Moshi, next town from us and to be honest Pom's are so much more beautiful than Chi's. If I was to get a Chi then I would have to have it flown in from somewhere which is very costly, if and when I decide to get a Female Pom then I will have to fly it in but at least that is only the cost of flying in once not twice so it made a lot of sense to get one of these adorable fluff balls. So on Tuesday May 1st two of my friends and I took the kids on the hour and half long journey to meet the pups. They had five puppies, belonging to the girl in the picture below, three were still available and I chose the runt of the litter, a little boy. Due to my up coming hectic schedule I have asked if they will hang on to him for a few more weeks, at the moment he is 8 weeks old and will be coming home to us at the end of May, I am so excited but I can not think of a name...any suggestions???
