About Me

My photo
In June 2011 I moved to Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa with the view of staying for one year. More than two years later and I have four beautiful Tanzanian foster children and there is no sign of me moving back to the UK. This blog was created as a way for family and friends to keep up to date on our life here and to see my little ones growing up, feel free to take a read and leave your comments. To find out about the work I am doing here visit www.tauf.org.uk (under construction).

Dreams Really do Come True

Now we have had a few days to settle, I can officially announce to you that on October 10th 2011 I became a Mummy to Selemani. Initially he is coming to me as a foster child while I carry out the adoption process.
This was the happiest day of my life!!
This Upendo, Cradle's social worker & I am holding the official letter which allows me to collect Selemani.
This is the place Selemani has called home for 10 months.

The bottom bed was Selemani's

This is Selemani with a few of his Mama's they were very sad to see him go!
